The series follows the daily life of a high school student Futaro Uesugi, who is hired as a private tutor for a group of identical quintuplets: Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Itsuki Nakano. At the very beginning of the story, it is shown that the events are being told in a flashback, while an adult Futaro prepares to marry one of the Nakano Quintuplets whose identity is only revealed near the end series.

The series is a commercial success, being the 5th best-selling manga in 2019, and the 3rd best-selling manga in the first half of 2020 in Japan. In 2019, the manga won the award for the shōnen category at the 43rd annual Kodansha Manga Awards.

Hanayamata is a Japanese manga series by Sō Hamayumiba. It was serialized in Houbunsha’s seinen manga magazine Manga Time Kirara Forward from April 2011 to February 2018, with its chapters collected in ten tankōbon volumes. An anime television series adaptation by Madhouse aired in Japan from July to September 2014.

Hanayamata is one of the best anime shows out there. The story of the show starts when Shinobu Oomiya once left Japan to participate in a homestay in England. During her time there, she became close friends with Alice Cartelet, the daughter of the family she was living with. However, when it was time for Shinobu to return to Japan, the two were able to express their sorrow despite the language barrier between them.

A theatrical anime film titled Wataten!: An Angel Flew Down to Me: Precious Friends will premiere in 2022.

The story of the series centers around Miyako Hoshino, who is shy and spends her time in her room. But, she becomes captivated with her sister’s classmate, Hana Shirosaki, when they go to Miyako’s house.

Acchi Kocchi is a Japanese yonko manga series by Ishiki that was serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara in 2006.  An anime adaptation by AIC aired on TBS between April and June 2012 and has an additional 13th OVA episode. While the anime series have ended, Ishiki is still publishing more monthly episodes of the manga.

The story of Acchi Kocchi revolves around a group of friends attending the same class at Nekoge Prefectural Senior Highschool. Tsumiki Miniwa is the main protagonist of the series and the top of her class, is hopelessly in love with the stoic Io Otonashi, though he never seems to realize this, much to her disappointment.

The 13 episodes of the anime series and the ongoing manga tell the many comedy-filled everyday situations of the group, from their meetings in class to working part-time at Hatch Potch Cafe, full of laughter and crawling with crazy antics just waiting to happen.

Tamako Market is a Japanese anime television series produced by Kyoto Animation, directed by Naoko Yamada, and written by Reiko Yoshida. The series aired in Japan between January 10 and March 28, 2013. The anime has been licensed in North America by Sentai Filmworks. A film sequel, Tamako Love Story, premiered in Japan on April 26, 2014, paired with a short film titled Dera-chan of the Southern Islands.
